HISTORY OF IN DEED HELL
MAGAZINE AND ARTWORKS

Many years ago, sometime in 1991, I first decided to contribute to the undeground scene with my own hand. The first one to grasp my work was Juraj "Immortal" Harin, who used several pictures of mine in his IMMORTAL SOULS ´zine. Later I began to draw for a cult Czech ´zine called DARKNESS ACTUAL. It was not long before I started to draw demo covers for the likes of TARTAROS (CZ), AVENGER, etc... covers for APPALLING SPAWN, SCABBARD, etc... were to follow,illustrations for numerous ´zines and heaps of logos. At about that time I was slowly starting my own zine called IN DEED HELL, which gives support to extreme and non - extreme metal music (from hard / heavy, power to thrash, dark, black, death, doom, grind, soundtracks...) and is published two - three times a year.It was in the year of 1995. Although, it was photocopied and hand made in the beginning, we always managed to sell about 500 copies.
Starting from #3, IN DEED HELL had computer lay-out. Dark design and my illustrations have alway been the main priority of the ´zine. Issue #7 was published in English and I was surprised at its success. I could not resisr to translate some interviews into English and put them on myweb page. The 9th issue of IN DEED HELL was in the form of a professionally printed publication and the overall circulation was over 730 copies. Starting from issue #10 IN DEED HELL had a glossy cover and #11 came in 800 copies. The 13th issue was a special one (published in English because of spreading my artwork wprld-wide) and contained of my pictures, covers and by me created booklets and logos. This issue was put out after numerous letters and phone calls and it was out thanks to COPREMESIS RECORDS.
 A bonus there is an interview with LOVE HISTORY as it is special and strange in a way, not only because of its unusual lenght. This extra issue was printed in 1000 copies. I have to come back to #5, which was created with the help of David Najbrt, who offered his help and his dedication to IN DEED HELL is immortal! This man gave my pictures another dimension with his PC art. Together we started to create covers, booklets, logos, leafiets...such as covers for APPALLING SPAWN, ENTRAILS, ROOT, DISINTER, SACRIST, GODLESS TRUTH, DARKSIDE, SKULL CRUSHER, GURKKHAS, etc...
David Najbrt himself created covers for COPREMESIS RECORDS such as HAEMORRHAGE, ABORTION, FATALITY, LIMITS OF NESCIENT, several 7"... and for CRYSTAL PRODUCTIONS such as HYPNOTIC SCENERY and DISFIGURED CORPSE. While I offered my pictures to be used in magazines like LYKOS, MYSTICAL MUISC, HELL RAZOR, KATOPETIA, DESTROYING ANGELS, SALACIOUS... to remember a few logos I will mention for instance: DISINTER, GURKKHAS, NASTALGION, EMESIS, ENTRAILS, THE ENEMY BRIGADE, AVENGER, OPEN HELL FEST, DEADSUN PROD., DESOLATE WINTER, EQUIRHODONT, EXTREME COMBAT MANAGEMENT, FUNERAL INCEPTION, LACRIMAE CHRISTI, ISOLE, MORTIFILIA, THE DOOMDAYS CULT, SPETALSK, SATHANAS, NOOHOORSH etc...
Our work appeared in booklets of VITAL REMAINS, DEVOURMENT, EXMORTEM, SECT OF EXECRATION, KAOS RISING, RECUEL MORBIDE, FUNERAL INCEPTION, CARNAL LUST, THE DOOMDAYS CULT, DEMONICON, AVENGER, GODLESS TRUTH, ROOT, SHEOLGEENNA, EMESIS, PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT, FOREST OF IMPALED, EQUIRHODONT, DARKSIDE, PERGAMEN, DESECRATED DREAMS, NEUROTIC MACHINERY, 13, DEMENTOR, THE ANTIPRODUCT, DYMYTRY, METALGATE, etc...
