Frustration

Too much blood in my veins
Three degrees too hot
A cigarette calms
And another too

Yet I feel the same
Listlessly drift away
Nerves abound
With nowhere to go

I grit my teeth and hold my tongue
Fulfil the role of a dutiful son, and

Action is needed
But none is forthcoming
And I will do nothing
Only for a time


However much I fume
There are only two paths
Death or destruction and
Both are mine

Struggling to chose
I delay my fate
To weak to decide
I leave it up to chance

For I drink to affect, my daily goal
Belay me down that pitch-dark hole, of

Moral physical and social corruption
I’m all out of time
Only for a time


And as I come down
Havoc wreaked
And in righteous pain
I regret, I fear, and I weep
For my goal has been reached

Now I am calm and content,
Happy as I’m fully contrite,
But only for a time,
But only for a time.
