ABOUT THE PROSTITUTES
The Prostitutes is a Czech indie rock band formed in 2004 in Prague. The band became famous for their raw sound inspired by the British post-punk scene and energetic concerts. Their debut album Get Me Out Of Here (2006) was a success, winning a number of domestic awards and helping them gain a wider fan base. Second album Hometown Zombies (2009) was one of the events of the year and is still appreciated by several generations of fans. Third album was produced by Martin Glover, a member of Killing Joke and a collaborator of Paul McCartney, The Cult or Depeche Mode. The next album was a site-specific recording Zum Passer. Their most famous songs include Sunshine, Leave It Like It Is or Heart Of Stone. The band has undergone several line-up changes, but has always maintained its characteristic sound. They ended their activities in 2017, only to return this year with even greater strength.
After a seven-year hibernation, they got to work and released four singles followed by a new studio album Inevitably Delayed in October 2025.
