Dillon Werry Band - The Son is Rising (Demo)

The Son is Rising is a song written about a close friend, who sadly passed away two years ago (2015).

It reflects on a concert I went to, which was held in his memory.

His mother and father attended with concert and I spoke with them both.

Having the contact with parents, and empathizing with the feelings the pain they went through, was the hardest part of my grief for my friend.

The song is not supposed to be a sad song, but tries to tap into the emotions I felt and feelings. It's about the passing of friends, the process of moving on from pain, and the fondness and memories that come later.

I am happy with how the solo came out and the great playing of the guys! Both have great "feel" !
