Internet-label NoiseUp is proud to present new album of Russian avat-garde project Mecizand. The name „Mecizand“ means „Forest Master“ from Veps language spoken by Vepsians. Mecizand is a group of multi-instrumentalists from St. Peterburg making „forest“ avat-garde music using variety of different music instruments and sound collages in different music genre. Most of the genres are considered already as dead. The project was created in the beginning of 10s, but its discography counts 15 full-length studio albums. The members are changing, mixing and replacing each other all the time, but the concept and the spirit of experimentalism and mysticism stay alive in every album, every composition and every sound. The new album called „Event Deserving Attention“ will drive your through the ocean of avant-garde jazz to the sea of dark ambient and lakes of musique musique concrète and ritual melodies.
