HOGAROTH - Huldra

I was riding my horse down the mountainside
while the sun was setting behind the horizon.
The forest darkened and the shadows extended
And when I stopped by the river I heard...
her all of a sudden.

The unearthly instruments and the mystic voice of sorrow
she was sitting across the river in a small grassy meadow
Her voice lured me closer and I lost control of my mind
I let go of the reins and I started to dream - I became blind

On the very edge of the tundra
Destined to be seduced by the huldra

I saw nothing but the ethereal beauty
of this unbound forest creature
my desire was more then overwhelming
I wanted nothing else, than to reach her

As the sun hid behind the trees, fog began to crawl over ground
and the Will-o'-the-wisps woke from the slumber suddenly they were all around
While forgetting his family he reached for her hand not aware of his bane
and they got lost in the shade of the forest never to be seen again
