Na první poslech vás smete hutný sound, těžká kytarová stěna a "cit" pro brutalitu. Za některé pasáže v hned úvodní "To Live in Gloom of the Beyond" by se nemuseli stydět ani takoví řezníci jako Deicide, to vám povídám.
... jisté vztyčné body lze nalézt například i s takovými Arkhon Infaustus - především v tom smyslu, že extrémní forma death metalu není jen bezhlavou rubanicí, ale má v sobě i jakousi brutálně chorobnou atmosféru (pokud chcete konkrétní příklad z "Dark Future", zkuste třeba závěr "Prophecy").
DESTROYING DIVINITY totiž natočili brilantní desku světových kvalit a to vůbec nepřeháním! Jsem si naprosto jist, že při poslechu „Dark Future“ byste rozhodně netipovali českou kapelu … Rychlost, precizně vykonstruovaná kytarová sóla, ostré riffy a v neposlední řadě parádní přednes vokalisty Erika. Aranžmá? Jedna velká dotažená paráda! ... Tito hoši se v současnosti nacházejí na vrcholu svých hráčských i skladatelských sil a není vůbec divu, že tento matroš vypustil do světa americký label.
Zlověstné kytarové riffy dokážou vykouzlit velmi temnou a zlověstnou atmosféru podpořenou pekelnými solovými výjezdy, okultní lomoz bicí artilerie ještě přidá na intenzitě a vokál přímo z lůna pekel dovrší tohle totální inferno. Temnotou je tahle deska nasáklá opravdu hodně a každá zčernalá duše si musí na téhle lahůdce smlsnout.
Kapela z Ratíškovic od první chvíle uměla působivě zkombinovat záhrobní temnotu s patinou oldschoolové prapodstaty a hutnou, brutální surovost. ... "Dark Future" nabízí výsostně dotažený a vrcholně působivý death s okultně temnou starou atmosférou jak vystřiženou z 90. let. Při poslechu se ocitáte v jakýchsi ponuře pološerých komnatách a na zdech se vynořují dávné stíny stylových velikánů – MORBID ANGEL, IMMOLATION, INCANTATION …
Jede se na plný obrátky...nefalšovaný, ničím nepřikrášlovaný a nezkažený death metal, řekl bych klasické floridské staré školy. Rychlá tempa bicích, běsnící kytary, growling jak má být a vše řádně hutní basa. ... Brutalita a zhouba číhá v každičkém tónu, jež Destroying Divinity produkují.
Strašidelné riffy, šlapavé - kovově znějící - škopky, disharmonická - věru krátká - sóla a vyhrávky, naprosto neoblomný tah na bránu, jenž prostě nepoleví, dokud vám mozeček nevyleze z hlavy ušima. Hrome, po šesti letech, jež jako krví zbarvená voda utekly od minulé řadovky, jsou pánové zpět se skutečně neuvěřitelně parádním dark death metalem, pyšnícím se správně old schoolovým zvukem z doby, kdy se dark death metalu holdovalo...
Velkou devízou skupiny je zejména zpěvák Erik, který svým projevem připomíná mnohem slavnější kolegy z mnohem slavnějších kapel. A o tom celá historka kolem nové desky DESTROYING DIVINITY vlastně je. Konečně je tady zase kousek, se kterým můžeme v pohodě za hranice, aniž bychom museli klopit zraky.
Moravskí DD vydali novinku v dobe, keď už na nich takmer každý načisto zabudol, ale všimol som si, že sú aj ľudia, ktorí ich spoznali až vďaka tomuto tretiemu disku, dovtedy o nich vôbec netušili ... DD vždy patrili pre mňa k vrcholom CZ DM scény a našťastie to zostalo aj po tomto výtvore vďaka ich zvráteným riffom, atmo sólam a zlovestnej, diabolskej melodike. Jednoznačne ich doteraz najrýchlejší album, ktorý sa oplatí už len kvôli obalu, aj k nim už dorazili klifotické sily z necronomiconu.
Hned od úvodu se roztrhne pytel s death metalovými nápady, které si svou efektivitu udržují po celých devět skladeb ... Z poslechu zcela jednoznačně vyplývá, že tato hudební kára se hrne od srdce.
Opravdu smrtící jízda, kterou nebudete chtít ukončit a budete se chtít pořád vracet na začátek. Myslim, že o této desce se bude mluvit ještě nějaký ten černý pátek. Peklo vystoupilo na zemský povrch!
Zručnost muzikantů doplňuje skvělý hrdelní hlas a vysoce profesionální zvuk celé fošny, který nezní tak nějak Česky, samozřejmě ku prospěchu celé věci. Jedná se o hutný a atmosférou temný materiál posazen na pozadí staré školy death metalu, přímočarý s obrovským tahem na bránu.

Destroying Divinity finally return to carry on the madness they started with Dark Future. Dark Future is an album that shows great promise and talent from the band, and really pushing for a Brutal Death Metal album that relies on a brutal atmosphere moreso then any of the stereotypical elements of it, and in that, this band does a fantastic job.
The production is thick and heavy with all instruments cutting through the mix beautifully so. The vocals are at the very top of the mix noticeably but not overbaringly. The guitars chugg along very nicely whilst the bass has a nice "piano - like" tone. The drums are processed but not to ridiculous levels but thats almost expected in this day and age.
The band excels in the slower area, as in tracks "Undead in the Darkness" or "At War With Two Worlds". The latter stands out in particular due to the almost industrial strength mystique caused by the clinical glow of the melodies, the simplicity of the bluesy, evil lead in the early bridge, or the extended meathouse hooking of the breakdown. They hint at a rare crossroads of old school appeal, convulsive mosh pit entitlement, and a modern glaze of mortuary aesthetics. But Destroying Divinity do not limit themselves solely to the corpse-crawl of morbid intentions, picking up the pace with the hostile juggernaut "Prophecy" or the desperate writhing slaughterhouse found beneath the visceral awnings of "Name Written With Blood".
Production wise, Dark Future is heavy and dense, with lots of compression added to it, giving the impression your sitting room is burning down in flames (the cover fits the sound perfectly) and yet one can appreciate the good musicianship of the whole band as the instruments are clear enough.
Shades of the NYDM triumvirate of Suffocation, Incantation, and Immolation! Destroying Divinity deliver an overpowering blast of dark, old-school death metal with a swarming haze of guitar mayhem, body-buffeting drums, convulsive hooks, and vocals that would make Ross Dolan, John McEntee, and Frank Mullen proud. Absolutely killer shit!
Drums range from slow, midpced to fast drumming with alot of brutal blast ... while the bass playing has a very dark tone which is mixed down low in the mix and seems to follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars. Rhythm guitars range from slow, midpaced to fast brutal death metal guitar riffs which show alot of progression from the previous release with alot of skillful riffing that utilize alot of skill, while the lead guitars are very dark and chaotic death metal guitar solos.
In my opinion Destroying Divinity are a very good blasphemous and brutal sounding death metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band.

Schnörkellos und ohne Umschweife gibt's mit dem Opener gleich zu Beginn richtig auf die Ohren und man erahnt schon nach den ersten Sekunden was einem auf dem 36-minütigen Album noch alles erwartet. Brutale Growls, düstere Riffs und der pausenlos donnernde Doublebass - noch ein paar Breakdowns und Gittarensoli eingestreut und fertig ist das Brutal Death Metal-Album.
DESTROYING DIVINITY folgen dem Konzept klassischer amerikanischer Death Metal Bands wie MORBID ANGEL, INCANTATION oder DEICIDE und liegen mit ihrer Version von düsteren, mal schnellen, mal verhaltenen und immer blasphemischen Tönen gar nicht so daneben. ... DESTROYING DIVINITY erweisen sich als standfestes Quartett mit sauberem technischen know how, dass mit einem gelungenen Album seine Position in der Szene untermauern kann.

Death metalová kapela Destroying Divinity byla založena v lednu 2001 ve složení Erik - vocal, Gassi - guitar, Nagard - guitar, Ommurtag - drums. V tomto obsazení kapela nahrává v červnu 2001 ve studiu Šopa své první demo s názvem Created, které je vydáno na vlastní náklady. Po nahrání dema nastupuje místo Nagarda kytarista Mille. Počátkem roku 2002 se přidává basák Flagin. Odehraje se několik koncertů a pracuje se na nových skladbách,které se na jaře 2002 nahrávají opět ve studiu Šopa. Firma Grodhaisn /Cz/ nabízí kapele vydání CD, na které je použit materiál z dema + 4 nové skladby - CD ...Created... vychází koncem roku 2002. Opět se hrají koncerty a chystají nové skladby. Kytarista Mille opouští kapelu a na jeho místo přechází z basy Flagin.
Na jaře roku 2004 se ve studiu Šopa nahrává druhá deska Hell Unleashed v sestavě Erik - vocal, Gassi - guitar, Flagin - guitar, Ommurtag - drums. CD vychází opět u Grodhaisn na přelomu let 2004/2005. Opět se odehrálo pár akcí a
chystaly se nové skladby. V roce 2008 /prosinec/ se opět ve studiu Šopa dokončilo nahrávání zatím posledního alba Dark Future v sestavě stejné jako na předešlém CD. Destroying Divinity podepsali smlouvu s labelem Brutal Bands /USA/ a
aktuální deska Dark Future vychází 25. června 2010.

The band Destroying Divinity was founded in January 2001, starting it‘s musical path with following members: Erik - vocal, Gassi - guitar, Nagard - guitar, Ommurtag - drums. DD recorded their first demo "Created" in this formation
at the Šopa studio in June 2001. This demo was self-released and send to local labels. After releasing this demo, guitarist Mille was replaced by guitarist Nagard. At the beginning of 2002 Flagin joined DD as a bass and guitar player. In this new
formation, DD played a few concerts and wrote some new songs, which were recorded in the Šopa studio in the spring 2002. Subsequently a czech label Grodhaisn offered DD releasing a full lenght debut album, where all material from the demo and the 4 new
songs were used. The CD was released at the end of 2002 under name „...Created...“. After releasing the debut, DD played some gigs and worked on new material. After guitarist Mille left the band, Flagin had to reduce his status from
bass/guitar player to guitar only. Then, in spring 2004 the second full lenght album "Hell Unleashed" was recorded with this line-up: Erik - vocals, Gassi - guitar, Flagin - guitar, Ommurtag - drums. CD was released by Grodhaisn at the
turn of the year (2004/2005). After some concerts and a piece of work, DD recorded their third album called "Dark Future" in December 2008 with the same line-up in the Šopa studio again. Then Destroying Divinity spend almost two years by
looking for the proper record label. The newest milestone in DD history was signing a contract with Brutal Bands records (USA). BB released the CD "Dark Future" on the 25th June 2010. Destroying Divinity are currently composing new material, darkness is
comming..
